HOW TO REFER: The Referral Process
REFERRAL/ADMIN FEES
Edmund Rice Camps for Kids WA is a registered charity, relying heavily on community support and donations. While the children pay a nominal fee for the camps, the volunteers are also asked for a donation to defray costs, ERCKWA relies on various fundraising efforts and donations in order to provide its services. Running quiz nights, film nights and raffles are examples of our fundraising activities.
As you would appreciate there is a lot of time and effort put into these camps and also into managing each referral. This process and cost reflects the time spent by ERCKWA in placing children on camps.
We ask that each agency pays $150 per child that they refer to Edmund Rice Camps for Kids WA.(Please note that Non for Profits and schools are welcome to call/write to us in regards to this payment). Please read the following information on the referral process.
Referral/Recommendation Process:
1) Referrals can be made to Edmund Rice Camps for Kids WA at any time between: 1st August - 1st December and 1st February - 1st June. Recommendation forms can be found on the ERCKWA website in the referral forms section.
2) Referral agencies would be asked to pay $150 per child they refer to ERCKWA (a cheque or Customer Purchase Order) must be sent WITH the recommendation forms.
3) This referral and payment will place the child onto the ERCKWA participant database.
4) The child’s family will then be sent a welcome to ERCKWA letter and parents/caregiver information booklet.
5) From this time on, the child’s family will be sent camp selection forms for any of the upcoming camps/activities.
N.B Recommendations do not automatically place a child on a camp they must register for each avilable camp.
6) The participants family would then either post back this form or call to be involved in a particular camp and they would then be sent medical forms and camp acceptance letters before the actual camp.
Please be aware that camps aim to work on a one to one basis of child and volunteer therefore numbers are limited depending on the number of volunteers available.
